It would appear as though the more that President Trump finds himself engulfed in controversy, the more Americans celebrate the leader they once took for granted.
Barack and Michelle Obama were met by small army fans this week during their summer visit to Martha’s Vineyard.
The Obamas were swarmed with hundreds of screaming fans who gathered outside of The Cardboard Box restaurant in Oak Bluffs, Mass., as the favorited couple exited.
The former first couple was seen happily waving to their onlookers before heading into their SUV videos of the incident were later shared online.
Martha’s Vineyard shared footage of the Obamas happily interacting with the screaming fans before their departure.
Martha’s Vineyard is generally considered to be a liberal sanctuary.
Alan Dershowitz had explained recently to the press that he had been ostracized by liberals on the elite island after standing behind many of President Trump’s civil liberties.
The former president’s public outing follows days after Obama celebrated his 57th birthday.

Former Vice President Joe Biden took to his social media to share a selfie of him and Obama to celebrate the latter’s birthday last Saturday.
“Our lunches together were a highlight of every week at the White House,” Biden wrote alongside the smiley photo. “Last week’s trip to @DogTagBakery was no different. Happy birthday to my brother, my friend, @BarackObama.”
The duo was recently seen dining at Dog Tag Bakery in the Georgetown neighborhood of Washington, D.C., where they grabbed a quick bite and met with service-disabled veterans, military spouses and caregivers who are taking part in the bakery’s fellowship program.

The day was also commemorated as the first annual “Barack Obama Day” in Illinois, a statewide commemorative holiday which was officially signed into law last year.
