National Outrage, After Trump Accuses Obama Of Spying On Him

President Trump stepped forth this Thursday in an effort to give credit to an allegation which claims that the FBI under former President Obama spied on the Trump campaign during the 2016 presidential election, stating that the “revelation” could be “bigger than Watergate.

“Wow, word seems to be coming out that the Obama FBI “SPIED ON THE TRUMP CAMPAIGN WITH AN IMBEDDED INFORMANT,” the president tweeted while pointing to a National Review report published last week.

“There’s probably no doubt that they had at least one confidential informant in the campaign.” If so, this is bigger than Watergate!”

The report suggests that several agencies serving Obama used their surveillance powers to closely watch over the activities of the Trump campaign.

Last year, Trump attacked the former president for supposedly wiretapping Trump Tower ahead of the 2016 election.

“Terrible! Just found out that Obama had my “wires ” tapped,” the president wrote in March 2017

However, former White House press secretary Sean Spicer later revised the president’s statement, stating that he didn’t mean that Obama literally wiretapped Trump Tower

“The president used the word wiretap in quotes to mean broadly surveillance and other activities during that,” Spicer said. “There is no question that the Obama administration, that there were actions about surveillance and other activities that occurred in the 2016 elections.”
