President Trump made a shocking claim this Tuesday stating that if he ends up being dead wrong about trusting North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, he will find “some kind of excuse.”
Trump told reporters that he completely trusts the dictator and thinks that North Korea will begin implementing the denuclearization policies the leaders agreed on during their summit.
“I may be wrong,” Trump declared during a news conference after the historic meeting. “I may stand before you in six months and say, ‘Hey, I was wrong.’ ”
“I don’t know that I’ll ever admit that, but I’ll find some kind of an excuse,” Trump added with a grin.
Trump says he trusts Kim Jong Un. And if he's wrong? "I may be wrong, I mean I may stand before you in six months and say, 'Hey I was wrong,'" said Trump, before adding, "I don't know that I'll ever admit that, but I'll find some kind of an excuse." https://t.co/J2k6ehVhW1 pic.twitter.com/onKaUHP2f3

The two infamous leaders signed an agreement on Tuesday that locked in the United States to provide unspecified “security guarantees” if North Korea is denuclearized.
Trump said he had developed a “very special bond” with Kim and praised the leader after the summit.
“We had a terrific day and we learned a lot about each other and our countries,” Trump said.
