Americans Disgusted, After Trump Cracks Tasteless Joke About Syrian Airstrikes

President Trump came forth this Monday to complain that new national security adviser John Bolton could lose his job if he continues to receive “all the credit” for last week’s devastating airstrikes on Syria.

Trump pointed to Bolton, who was standing at the back of the gym near Miami where the president was hosting a tax event. The crowd stood up to give Bolton grandiose ovation.

“John, that’s pretty good. I didn’t expect that. I’m a little jealous,” Trump joked. “Are you giving him all the credit? Uh oh, you know that means the end of his job.”

The president seemed oddly giddy about the missile strikes on Syria, which followed in response to a deadly chemical weapons attack the U.S. alleges was carried out by Syrian leader Bashar Assad’s forces.

“With way over 100 missiles shot in, they didn’t shoot one down,” Trump jeered. Every single one hit its target.”

Bolton, who began his job last Monday, stands as Trump’s third national security adviser in just 15 months, part of an unheard level of turnover on his senior staff.

The president is known to get jealous when his aides receive what he feels is his rightly deserved attention.

Trump was famously infuriated by a Time magazine cover that dubbed his former chief strategist Stephen Bannon as “the great manipulator.”
