Those in attendance during President Trump’s latest campaign rally in Iowa on Tuesday night shouted out “lock her up” after the president asked whether Democrat Senator Dianne Feinstein had leaked the accusations of sexual misconduct against Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.
Trump blasted Feinstein while plowing through a tirade of attacks on several Democrats, which included Senators Elizabeth Warren, Cory Booker, and Richard Blumenthal.
“How about Sen. Feinstein? That’s another beauty,” Trump said.
“‘Did you leak the documents?'” he continued, before mocking the senator with a massively exaggerated impression of Feinstein.
The crowd immediately broke into chants of “lock her up,” which caused Trump to burst into laughter.

“I think they’re talking about Feinstein,” Trump said. “Can you believe it?”
The chant has become a signature of Trump campaign rallies, though his supporters have typically used the fiery chant to lash out against 2016 Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton. This Tuesday marked the first time the vicious chant had been a reference to Feinstein.
Feinstein’s office has yet to respond to a request for comment on the rally.
Trump also brought up Clinton later in his speech; the crowd once again began chanting “lock her up.”
Trump had repeatedly made the claim that Feinstein had leaked allegations from Christine Blasey Ford, who alleged that Kavanaugh had forcefully pinned her to a bed and groped her during a party when the two were in high school in 1982. Two other women later stepped forth to accuse the judge of sexual misconduct.
Here’s how Americans reacted:
Nice. Let’s just go ahead and lock up our political opponents. I can’t believe ppl literally do not see the danger in this behavior.
